UPM is the oldest and largest of Spanish technical universities. It has approximately 38,000 undergraduate students and 6000 postgraduate students plus more than 3000 faculty personal. The sexual distribution of students varies a lot from faculty to faculty as the following diagram illustrates.

As you can see, computer science shows the most unequal distribution regarding student’s sex, which is approximately 18% female and 82% male.
Last but not least, regarding post-graduate students and R&D, one should mention that UPM ranks first among all Spanish universities in E.U. R&D funding.
