Job entry in Spain doesn’t seem to be much different to the ‘German way’. The ways to find a job reach from newspapers, internet portals and initial applications to C.O.I.E. or contacts from a former ‘beca’ just as they do in Germany. Quite a lot of young employees will tell you that they did a former internship or their final thesis in this company if you ask them how they got there. As for the application process, it is of course subject to the similarities and differences described in the chapters before but I suppose directly contacting a company in regard to a certain job offer works better in this case than it does for internships.
Talking about job entry, one should also have a look on the initial salary which tends to be somewhat lower than in Germany. Of course this also depends on the company and ranges are form below intern’s salary to extremely well-paid but according to my experience the average is definitely lower. As this site states, for jobs in the field of computer science, the average initial salary is almost 10% below what you get in Germany. For engineers it’s almost 30% lower, mathematicians get paid almost 25% less and for economists they get put similar to engineers.
